  • These are wired in parallel. I've done a quick sketch to try to explain what that means but there doesn't seem to be any way to post it here or to attach it to a message. I'll see if I can find some other way to send it.

    My gut feeling is that two piezos are better than one but that's by no means a proven fact.

    I'd say add a volume pot. Generally these things are 500k or 250k. I'd go for the higher value in this instance but, again, that's not an imutable rule. Pots come as either "audio taper" or "linear" taper. Supposedly you should use "audio taper" pots on volume controls but I'm actually developing a preference for linear ones - that might be just me though. Basically, don't worry too much about the taper.

  • HI, I've just made a simple 2 string thing and am about to put a piezo in...wondering how much better it sounds with two??...also got confused reading stuff on here about "in parallel" and "in series" ??!!...what does that mean?, and which have you done here?
    Also wondering if it's worth adding a volume pot....not sure what sort to buy if i do..any advice??
