  • Uncle, i'm going to slot the head this morning. I've not made a slotted head before. The time has come. I cut the top yesterday and used 4 little screws to hold it on for sanding the edges. It's a nice piece of wood. I rubbed on some poly to see the figure better. It's nice wood all around.

  • Hunh....   Interesting, Dave.   Why not?   That back piece is sure pleasing as well.   How much snow up your way?   Oh!   Like that peg head design.   I want to see this one done.  Take your time and make it good.

  • Thanks Jerry. This one is taking time, but it's worth it.

  • Very cool brother, very cool.

  • Thanks Jim, i fitted the top and put 4 tiny screws in it to hold it down while i sanded the edges to fit to the body. It's bird's eye Buckeye burl. Nice grain and lots of tiny eyes. Looking good. Now Tony's going to make a pocket for the tone and volume and jack in an add on to the tail block. This will keep the hollow body clear of electronics. Just a wire from the jack will go through the body and through a hole in the tail block. The strings will go through the tail block to the back as hold downs. I'm having fun in my new little winter workshop....

  • This is gonna be soooooooooo slick!
