Disaster in my clay studio. Perhaps you heard of our recent Duluth storm. 11 inches of rain in 24 hours. This is my studio. Note my sound system on the floor. Wet to the middle of each one. My mics stayed dry (leaning on the left tipped stack). Each container on the floor level contains funk water to the top.

Thanks Heart, there's hope. Today i tried to plug in the power chord on my PA and it didn't blow up. The light came on and it went through its level check. Tomorrow i'll try the speakers and jacks. Cleaning continues. Very time consuming. I'd rather be working on #21 box guit.
Thanks Uncle John, I can take about 1/2 day of dealing with it, then rest. Tired of moving soggy yuk to the dumpster. This will take many days at my rate. But, it looks better today than yesterday. Wish i could give you a lesson. I love to throw. Since i've been building, i haven't done as much throwing. Mostly sawdust now.
Ohh! I did here you got some wet up there. This is awful and beautiful too. Love your pottery. Wish I was nearby and could take some lessons. I am glad you are for the most part okay. Shit, that's better than most! Good wishes on the salvage and clean up.
We'll see about the PA. It's drying. I'll take most of the cover off tomorrow. I couldn't get to everything today. However, nothing happened much at home or at my garden. Two out of 3 ain't too bad. Amazingly, i didn't loose too many pots. I figured out what tipped my stacks of totes over. It was the nice job of bubble wrapping that a museum did to a big retrospective show i had several years ago. Each pot was wrapped like a mummy. They made the totes with bubble pots tip over causing my disaster. Lots of flat art on floor level was destroyed. None of my instruments have been damaged. They were all safely in my home on the hillside. The studio is at the bottom of the mountain. Tomorrow, i go back to it. Stinks...
