i like the inside the box feature , i while back i made a couple of box guitars with a flame print glued inside ,you could only see it from certain angles. i look forward to seeing the end result...:)
Keith, I sketched out the pattern based on a tooled leather piece I found online. The pattern is mirrored top to bottom so it was really only half the work. :) I printed out the pattern on plain white printer paper and used a light coat of spray adhesive to hold it in place. I hand cut it with an x-acto knife, leaving what I wanted to remain light wood. I sprayed the panel with a semi-gloss clear to darken the wood.I added this detail to the interior to and paired it with the over-sized sound hole as an intentional design feature, actually this feature was one of the reasons I wanted to do this build.
