The Partagas box at the back is a bit narrow so is going to be made into a strummer. I want to try out fretting on that one and also an adjustable bridge with the piezo fixed to the underside of the bridge. It's really the guinea pig in preparation for the other two. At the moment it only has sanding sealer on but will get further finishing.The black box will be a fretted three string. I have given it several coats of varnish to protect the label. I did wonder about adding some wear to the edges by sanding off the paint. There seems to be a nice dark wood underneath and I wonder if that might look more interesting. If I got through to some lighter wood I could always stain it back.I want to make the Padron box into a four string fretted. I also intend to try a mag pickup on it in addition to a piezo. I got a rail humbucker (Entwistle X3) which I hope will do.Unfortunately will have to wait until the new year to really do much to these.
