  • Tools all put away, table cleared, company entertained, even so i glued up a nut and tailpiece so I can string her today and solder the last three wires from grounded string, hot lead and pup ground. Still lots of details, but I should hear it today. JUJU, I'm assuming that your red wire is the hot lead and the purple is the ground? That's how i've got it wired anyhow. We'll see... And the Buffet was great. I'm a fat pig....

  • haha! - i don't know sometimes it can be good to have a short break i think it makes it all the better when you get back to working on it - i found that if i was building 24/7 i lost a bit of intrest so now i try and regulate between building and real life - and don't forget her indoors needs to be kept sweet too

hope you had a good Buffet :)

  • Oh, and the nose bling is coming nicely. A brass screw for the saddle, the ground for the string comes up under the soundboard and through the nose to the screw hole. The screw tightened the solder tipped wire in its hole and walla, ground.

  • Thanks Anders, JUJU, I can't wait either. I've been working on the soldering and final assembly. I still have fret marking, nut to make, tail to glue up and a brace for the tail pocket. The knob I chose looks good on her. Trouble is I've got all this social stuff coming down. Buffet today, company tonight for an overnight. The kitchen's trashed with tools, solder, sawdust, clutterotsy, and cold coffee. Clean? Build? Which would you do? Guess what she says...

  • it's getting there mate will soon have some sweeeeettttt sounds coming from it :)
