Thanks, Lonman. It's very basic stuff. The frame is pine that was recycled from a Levi's Store display. I built the sides of the box using pegboard from that same display. What you see here is a textured vinyl that was the closest thing I could find that looked like cowhide. The inside of the case is semi-rigid insulting foam, also re-purposed from another project. You can buy that foam in very large sheets from Lowes. I cut the foam into smaller sheets for the top and bottom. For the sides, I had to stack 3 or 4 long, skinny sheets. I wrapped up all the foam with material from a local fabric store. The hardware, handle, corners, hinges, come from Reliable Hardware (http://www.reliablehardware.com/)
Things I'll do differently next time: Use less wood. I even cut back the amount of wood I was using by more than half and it still weighs a ton. Use a soft foam. Spend a little extra on the fabric and get some fuzzy material (like the fuzzy dice stuff). Leave the fabric store with the vinyl in a roll instead of folded. That crease was not going to come out.

Nice job, it looks like it's worth it. On line they run over $100. Your baby will be safe.

May I ask what materials you used? Well done.
