Back at the start of last year I built a TMB. At the time the soundbox was made with scrap wood. Recently I managed to obtain some 1/2" poplar and built a brand new box.The sound is much superior and a much fuller one. So much so that I have had to add a second melody string to give enough 'top'. She now sounds a treat.

Nice work. I've got one in the design phase. I'm going to use old barn wood for the sides and maybe pecan for the top. Not sure about the fretboard yet...I have to sort through the stack to see what's the right size.
What did you for the tin work? I'd welcome any building tips you have.
And that lubricant...that's some really good stuff.
