Hah! I had most of what I needed to build this but stopped at a surplus store near me because I remember seeing a pile of old license plates there. While I was wandering the isles, came across a bin of springs and got the idea to try one just to see what the effect would sound like. It sounds like a odd twanging spring in there. Interesting but not sure if it's going to stay or not. The soon to be patented "RC Stomp Box Spring Reverb" was kind of a cross between a experiment and a joke ;)

I believe that's true and you just never know until you give it a shot. It really isn't integral to the design so easily reversible (just remove it )
I figured that even if I didn't like it, the guy the like real spring reverb might get a chuckle out of seeing it in there ;)
