I mounted the Piezo Pre-Amp in the front of the box and modified it by removing the Piezo plug-in jack due to lack of room. It was simple to do, just the metal cover and use needle nosed pliers to brake away the plastic which leaves you with two metal tabs on the circuit board. The front metal tab (where the jack plug in was) is the ground and the other one is the hot wire.I also installed a black Flush-Mount End-Pin Guitar Jack because of the thickness of the side walls of the box. The shorter of the two pins is the “Tip” or the hot lead, and the longer pin is the ground.

I had no clue either about the number of Piezo's until I looked at Shane's build in his book, "Making Poor Man's Guitars"
