  • It looks awesome.  If you have prior wood/metal skills I say go for it.  None of this is rocket science.  Great CAD work as well.  Being an engineer, I can appreciate working out the details before you make chips.  I typically lay mine out in 2D, but this may inspire me to get to work on my Rhino software.  Good luck and keep us informed.

  • Yeah thats my plan....take it real slow, I'm fairly good with carpentry, and been around instruments for along time....and a firm believer in CBN support too steer me in the right direction....and appreciate all your advise.

  • I think it looks awesome. If you can pull that off in wood and steel it will be really nice. Maybe a bit too ambitious for a first build but if you plan carefully and don't rush?

  • cool idea, but don't overthink it---the idea is to keep it simple and get back to the roots of american music---computer designs are nice, but try using paper and pencil, and don't get too fancy---make it PLAY good first and foremost---and keep the bling to a minimum!! All the fancy woodwork in the world won't make it sound better!!!
