Once you have completed your full-size drawing, cut out the neck template and use it to create your neck from a block or wood. You will notice that the neck angles down, which it must in order to compensate for the fact that your box will be flat, not arch-topped like a real violin. You will also have to do this to create your own custom length neck, because the neck will make up the length of the box. This is the only way you can keep the correct string length for a 4/4 violin build.
