  • Coming to a violin near you soon.

  • Sweet!

  • The rod is squeezed into the tube with a cocktail stick to provide the pressure.  I'm hoping that will work.  At least it should look shiny :-)

  • You just need the saddle to set dead on the rod, they work best from direct pressure on the rod from the saddle.

  • That's neat, Randy.  The way the neck is set I don't have the space for a high bridge.  All I need to do now is carve a saddle for the rod...........what could possibly go wrong ?  ;-)

  • Nice.  Let us know!

  • Thanks Dan.  It works, in that I've tested it by connecting it to an amp just to check that I didn't destroy the piezo when I cut it.  It's going on the bridge of a fiddle conversion so we'll see how it sounds.

  • Cool idea.  I'd love to hear how this works out for you.
