Here it is folks, perhaps the first squirrel chewed sound hole. Electronics to come, bridge to make. Brass tailpiece installed. I'll glue up the top once all the wiring, kleeting, and pickup is added. I might try a test string before glueing to try the electronics.

Good idea jabes, I've thought of that too. I just give a screwdriver tap test once i have everything wired. That tells me i'm live or dead and gives an idea of volume. Last night, i put one string on and she's loud and of good tone. The pup is "HOT". I"ll add 3 more strings this morning after sauna. Pictures of the finished baby later today. The sun is shining at last. The storm is over but for the shoveling...
JP, looks like taxes are next... Yuk, i hate working on them. Lucky for me i've got lots of expenses and little income from guitars. Beavers would be a logical choice for a next thing. However, there are alas, no beavers in my back yard (yet). The squirrels are begging for more work. They come to my window and look in plaintively asking "where's that peanut butter crunch you were so generous with?" No stains left on this one. The top is smooth as a babies butt.

if you dont want to use a string to test electrics just hold a strung guit over the pup and give it a twang ..
Looking great Dave! Looks even better without the pee stains! ;-}} What could be next? A beaver-tar maybe?!
