I've been helping a friend fix his dulcimer. We glued in some cleats and braces using the f holes to clamp the braces. My Sqeezerizer did the job. I made an access door near the tailpiece (now a control plate for jack and peizo volume control). Note the stick in the hole. I used a long thin stick like a crane boom to move the glued brace into position. Held to the stick by masking tape. After the glue set the stick pulls the tape off the brace.

Here's the rig used on a 1935 Harmony. I didn't make the bowed shim till after this fix. Note the wedge used to hold the guitar in place in my early attempts.
I've seen big such clamps with sticks that bow to make pressure. I just clamp the sticks down while using hand pressure to push down on the sticks. Chop sticks, dowels, square stock all work for sticks. I've made a bowed piece of wood also to put under a guitar that has bowed back braces so the pressure is pushed against my bowed shim. I find 1930s guitars often have bowed backs and tops. When i take a back off this rig works great doing the inside bracing and cleats.

Cool trick or maybe engineering?
