This wood was on it's way to the landfill. It came from an over 100 year old house repair job. I think it may be black walnut?Thinned down for soundboard to just about 1/8". Soundbox glued on to lip around soundboard.

That is walnut. Good save. Pretty wood. Nice (and I bet difficult) job routing the top thin without poking through.
