Snowy garden

Went to trim apple trees today. Heavy snow broke several tree tops. Now pruned up and tree wrapping has begun.

    Late green leaves+early snow=broken branches. I think I keep our new trees short too.

    I could have tried binding the trees but decided to shape the trees shorter for easy picking. I felt bad cutting off so much. Almost every tree had it's leader broken. I have a dozen trees. I had my Boggs on Bones. Nice soft mudders and warm. The duct tape binding is a good idea Eero. I'll try that on the next occasion. A splint with the tape might help too.

    I mended one apple tree top with duct tape this week. Maybe have to prune it later. Snow came heavy here, too.
