    Thanks Bill. It uses an ECL85.  Triode and Pentode in one bottle.  I get lots of nice power tube distortion but not much preamp distortion with only one preamp stage.  Sounds great though.  The schematic is posted here in the Goes to 11 forum.  I'll take a look your stuff when I get a chance.

    Sweet...I designed a single tube EL84 amp with a LND150 MOSFET preamp...looks a great deal like your amp.  You can see the schematic and other projects at http://harbtoneamps.tumblr.com.
