I hear ya there Blues! I'm in the construction game so I own a bunch of tools that just happen to work well for what we build on this site, I do improvise on certain things and it all comes down to what works eh?
So I'm working on a jig for bottle cutting. Looks like the tricks are 1. get the score line straight 2. don't try to score too deep 3> work fast cause glass starts to "heal " if you let it sit. 4. dip in boiling water(use safety glasses!) then into ice water, then back into boiling water and presto (use tongs to retrieve neck from boiling water, not your hand! You will be excited at how well it worked. I have since ground them down with my dremel tool (use glasses and a DUST MASK!!)

I hear that works well too, but considering this uses a 5 dollar glass cutter and some scrap wood, I'm please with the results.
Good advice BH, I cheat and use a diamond blade wet saw :-)

yep
Those are really clean cuts!! Are you using the hot water/cold water method?
