  • Took a little while to realise what NFS meant- well then dagnabbit I shall just have to find my own!

Anyhoo I've got these nice cloudy jobs to play with...
  • Sorry Cobba there NFS taken me many years to collect them I did see Shane had the brown ones on his site I know that's the same kind my dad has ,I can cut you a few wine bottle slides I found a perfect 3/4" dia ones my wife drinks I'll get some of them over to you PM me you'd address
  • If you've got a nice blue bottle to spare, can you ship it over here? Paypal's good for that sort of thing. Or maybe swap one or two for an Ark48...

I really need to get on the case with the fretless slide monster CBG...
  • Yep sorry there NFS guys I'm a Collector of them there the old blue ones ,I will go and look in my Dads shed he's bound to have some in there its like Aladdin's cave cave if he's got some I'll grab them
  • Yep- I always envied Rory Gallagher for his pill-bottle slide. He had to go to the US for it- you guys got that sort of thing over there, do you not? Oh, and European wine bottles have narrow necks- can't even get a pinky in one! That's why we have to make 'em I suppose...
  • Jeff, don't give up those bottles until the pills are gone!

  • These are REALLY nice!  Hey Jeff!  You have a "stash" of medical bottles, you say?  As in, like Coricidin bottles?  Would you ever want to part with any?

  • Hi Dave- uJ referred me to you... Yes, they are nice pieces; pic doesn't do them justice (shot in poor light with an iPad mini). If we get some sunshine here I'll take some proper pics with an SLR and post them. Real gold leaf I am reliably informed...

So- where can I get a look at some of yours?
  • Wow! These are beautiful. They have the look of carbon trapping. It's a favorite glaze technique I use on Shino glaze. Very ancient looking. I think I'll throw some slides tomorrow at the studio. :^)
  • Walt, Dave Lynas, here on CBN.  Quite a good artist, musician, slide maker and master limberjack maker.  Take a look at his photos.
