realistically end of the weekend. Ideally, tonight. 8v) I am ready to crank her. That pup was on a diddly bow several years ago, and sounded good then.
Some issues I have run across. First, I got this idea from a post on Reddit.com which was taken from a facebook page made by guys who make skateboard guitars. While looking through their photos I came to the realization they were not using the original deck. It seems they were stripping the artwork off and putting it on a fabricated board made from maple. For good reason. The deck I am using is softer wood laminate. I am going to have a metal back plate for support and to bolt the neck to. I need to fabricate a jack plate too. and make enough room for volume and tone. This is a quick build for my daughter, more than likely it will just be for wall art.
cool. I was thinking the same concept on mine but opted to cut off the section around the neck. Mine should be done by tonight. Heading to hear your sound sample.
