I've clearly marked the oak neck side with wood burned fret marks and small wood dowels at 3 5 7 9 12. Note the spring shoots at 6 and 8.

It's always an iffy prospect. Usually there,s hope that the first shoots will survive the daily snow flurry. Sea gulls are back in town. Good sign.
