  • Scott, thanks! Others here might be better than I in answering your questions re. string gauge and tuning as I usually use whatever I have around for strings and let the box sort of "tell" me where the tuning should go to in terms of root pitch and even whether to use octaves, etc.. I'm all over the map with that sort of thing. Four is a different animal and for me a tad too close to six... I personally feel like I'm cheating with six so stick to 3 and sometimes 2 string builds though I have a very cool 4 stringer a great dude sent me. Thanks again! Nice work!

  • Glenn not sure what kinda. Box wood it is its an Ashton box has a real nice sour having a little trouble figuring out what to do with the extra string as far as tuning its a 20 inch scale I'm used to 3 string low open g tune right now tuned Gdgg and sounds different but cool any suggestions would be cool big string is. 44 then down mabey need to change that?

  • Way cool Scott! Two q's: can't quite make out the box wood. Do you know what it is?

Secondly, what's the scale? I really like 21 inch scale and have used it quite a bit on several of my gits. Thanks for sharing! -Glenn

  • I have been amazed by the sound I am getting from these large sound holes it started out experimental and ive kind of adopted it now they sound atleast 2 times as loud acousticly than my outher builds with average size holes
  • Wow, you may have brought new meaning to the term 'soundhole" !! Suer looks great!
