I was watching a video on youtube on shaping a guitar neck and this guy had this thing he called a shaving pony and I like to hand shape my necks so it looked like a fun build and a useful tool to have and it is both. Draw knife, mini plane, sanding, filing, etc.
I got to practice with my jointer you can sorta see in the pics and I can use the practice and I sawed the 2X4 in half and cut it all up with my table saw, again good practice. Next time if I do this again is just by 1X4's and use a short 2X4 for the foot

Ahhhh for holding wood to shave (with draw knife or spokeshave). Gotcha. Roy Underhill (Woodwrights Shop, PBS) had one if I recall.
