Thank you all - I took a break from the GaunerStyle Blues because I got caught up in playing the same often, needed some new ideas.
I try to play a bit for "Sakura" at the moment, but I only got the first patterns. Japanese music (and art)
has always fascinated me.
I will try to build a Shamisen, but I suppose like with playing, I´ll hardly able do it justice. (Complicated joints in the neck, special wood etc.)
At the moment I´m building another Kankara (but made from a cigarbox, not a tin) to get closer to it and practice, I feel it´s not all about going simple.
Besides: Cost was 4€ for the pre-war box and 20 Cent for the sound hole roves, the rest was salvaged.
