Thanks Michael. I only have 12 hours into it soo far. For fretting, I mark out the scale on the side of the neck and just used my tablesaw to cross-cut the grooves. Then I super glued in galvanized fence wire, trimmed and leveled. Not exactly orthadox but it seems to work well. If a fret gets loose I'll just break out the glue again I suppose. Time will tell if this was a completely idiotic approach.
