"Sancho panza Cordoba" Three-String "Guitarella"

My latest build, finished. The scale length of this guitar is 18"; it has 21 frets on a tapered neck. The position markers are made from a guitar pick. It has a string through the body construction, with the volume knob on top of the box and a bolt for a bridge.

  • Glad it is such a good player.   I have an 18 inch scale in the shop that needs some intonation help.  I think I know what to do.   Rule of 18?   Will take a look.

  • Plays in tune right up the scale, but loses sustain the higher you go due to close fret spacing, I think; but also probably because it is so light. I use the "Rule of 18" to create custom scale lengths, and it really works! See my blog for the details, if interested.

  • That is beautiful.  Short scales are difficult to get right.  How does it play?

  • Aww, shucks, Ted, thanks! Love your cool chops ... wish we could play together, but distance, (sigh ...)

  • Tim, yeah I have not seen you much. Glad all is well and you are getting sales...You make some of the most incredible, really beautiful headstocks I have ever seen.  and the 3 string long scale bass you made is truly un- believable.!!!

  • Thank you, Ted; I've been out for a while but I'm getting my mojo back! Been selling a lot on EBay and in craft shows, so I need to replenish my stock. Have plans for future guitars made from tin boxes, variations on resonators using tins, a mandolin, lots of piezo only builds on simple necks as these sell for less, and some super-nice stock as well for back-up higher end sells.

  • Tim, Looks great.!!!

  • Thanks, Pitbull ... wasn't sure I liked it, but i think I'll keep it!

  • i ;ove that headstock !
