My two latest builds, shoulder to shoulder to give a comparison of the scale. On the left, the Don Leo cbg is a 24.5" scale; on the right, 18" scale. That works out for the small guitar to have its first fret at the position of a standard scale 5th fret, and makes for a open A tuning very easily.
