Works great...I think I get 10' or 11' of it per broom, just have to clean it up a bit with sandpaper- I mark out the fretboard and drill holes part way for the frets with a finishing nail, then bend the frets like staples with some pliers, one side just a bit longer so they're easier to put in- looks real authentic too!

Oh! Neat idea. Chris Lyons uses brads - nails. I have glued on bobby pins.
