Resonator build, in progress

Coming along...Neck is finished and glued in, supports/bracing for the resonator done, etc.Need to add the electronics, fit the tailpiece (the brass chunk on the table) and fabricate a bridge.I'm going to try making my own cover; I've got a piece of aluminum I've shaped into a dome-gonna drill holes in it.Trying a new fret materiel; these are cut from 1/16" brass tubing I found at a hobby shop that specializes in R/C planes. Only a couple of bucks for several feet.

  • This works really well. I'm going to have to make a neck out of more than a straight board to keep it sturdy.
  • Please keep progress photos and comment coming. I'm anxioust to see how this turns out.
  • Seems like it will work a lot better than the copper wire I've been using, Ted. Stuff is almost solid; there's just a tiny hole in it. Comes in one-foot sections and it's dead straight.
    I just cut a slot with a hacksaw and use JB weld.
