Resonator build in progress

Starting my attempt to turn a standard acoustic into a resonator...This is a VERY cheap guitar, screwed-on bridge, painted-in fret markers, holes for tuners drilled too big...Still, good for a test-bed.The resonator is the bottom half of an aluminum "warming oven" I got for two bucks. It's mounted into slots on the back braces, leaving about 1/4" clearance to let the sound out....I'll use a "biscuit" bridge and either buy or make a tailpiece.I've filled in the original soundhole, and will drill two new ones in the upper bout. Those chrome items are "computer grommets" which will trim the holes. In the back you can see a big aluminum serving tray from which I plan to make the cover.
