Reso Experiment

I'm working on a relic looking resonator uke. The little pan fits the theme but doesn't have much ring to it. The cookie tin has a lot of ring to it but doesn't fit the theme. So I attached the two with a screw and some nuts, leaving some space between them so just the screw transfers vibration from one to the other. Seems to work pretty well but I won't know until it's finished. Since there's nothing new under the sun I'm sure this has been done before but it's new to me. :)

  • Neat stuff k

  • I think it will work good. Especially if it had a spider bridge over the upper pie tin with the center of the bridge held by the screw to the tin. Like a Dobro cone and spider bridge.

  • Ha! You're fast UJ, you commented before I finished the description!

  • Resonator git in the works?   Tell us about it.
