Her's one for you nobody has been able to answer. On all my guitars, I add a piezo/transducer with a separate switch. Even with a well grounded bridge, There is some hum/light static from the amp when not playing. I turn on the piezo circuit, wired to the same jack, and the hum disappears. Total silence. ? Can't figure it out.

A potentiometer is a variable resistor, 30+ years electronics repair,stompbox & amp building experience, I’d like to think I learned a few things :D
Pot lowers output, not resistance. I guess unless you know something I don't. Reduce feedback regardless of pot setting.
