Red Banjo

Box is made from some plywood drawer bottoms, resonator is a tin can from canteen at work. Bought the oak for the neck as had nothing suitable to hand. Scale length 25.5 inches. Check out the video of this being played by a friend of mine who, unlike me, can actually play! Excitingly, I've named the video "Homemade Banjo".

  • I keep thinking about this guitar. I love its color and design. It is reminding me of the cubist's paintings by Brague, Leget, and Picasso
  • Total WIN!
  • Dude That is TOTALLY cool looking.
  • Hi Paul. Yes, I painted the stuff on the box. Pretty straight forward, just used stencils. The hard part was deciding on a 'theme' and wording that seemed authentic enough.
  • Nice build. Did you paint all the lettering and numbering on it?
