AGP #138 “Recycled Piano Build’’ (1)(3 String Guitar Box Guitar)Scale: 648mm / 25½ inchesStrings : .0.44BW / .034BW / .026BWTuning : GDGBox is Spruce Pine, Nut & Bridge are Ebony Piano keys, Neck is unknown hardwood? from Piano outer casing, Fret Board is coated with Orange Oil and the Box has several coats of a brush on (Disney Brand)French Furniture Polish.It looks a bit plain to me, have yet to decide whether it needs more sound holes etc; the build was based on a recent acoustic type build by "The King" Shane Speal.All the timber was sourced from an old Piano I purchased from a Salvation Army Store for less than $30.

  • Yep, recycled wood from a piano makes sense. Plenty of seasoned sounds still resonating inside the grains. I built a dobro lapsteel from a 1901 pump organ, and the tone and resonance is etheral. Great job.
