Toy rattle (it rolls) that I made for our new grand daughter. It will be a while before she play with it, but I wanted to share. It's finished with 100% natural Tung oil for safety purposes.

Oh well… I'll bet you'll do some more… Yes, the leaves 'n berries are fairly easy to do and they ARE very "forgiving" too! Plus, they end up looking very "classy", in my opinion.
I wish you and your daughter all the best with this one. My daughter is an only child, as is her husband, so you can imagine we were all pretty excited when the time finally came. My little Iris was born 3 weeks premature and the delivery had more than a few scary and difficult moments, so I can definitely sympathize (sp?).
Please keep me posted when you get a chance, and check out the link I sent. They have some other cool stuff too. Take Care -
Now that is an unique rattle. Very cool. Did you think that up? I have a grandchild on the way. Been a long time coming, my daughter has had a rough time. Many miscarriages but this one, so far so good.
That is really adorable. In a way you hope she treasures it, and in a way you hope she plays with it so much it finally falls to pieces. Win either way!
I pyro-ed a cutting board á la Lanford for a holiday gift this week. You are right - it is really fun!

uh oh. board gifted away this morning. but have a few more blanks standing by, maybe I'll make another.
i completely ripped off your leaves 'n' berries thing. Easy to do the strokes drawing towards you, and the organic shapes are very forgiving.
Thanks for the comments Paul! No, I did not think that one up all by myself. I found it online here:
