Thanks for the good advice juju! Next time I buy a spool of wire I'll know enough to make sure the ends aren't broken! Learnin' the hard way...story of my life! I appreciate the help. Hello yep that sewing machine will work well as a winder but i would suggest you stand the spool of wire on its end on the floor as the sheer weight of the spool and copper will snap the wire - theres no chance the thin wire will turn the spool - the only other problem i see is the plastic spool has broken ends this will cause problems with the wire coming off the spool if the spool is stood on it's end
i'm not trying to be a smart arse but i have had all these problems in the past so i'm just passing on what i have learned so far and to date i have made well over 200 pickups
