The balls on the ends of the strings were almost too small to fit snugly against the tines, so I improvised on the spot and threaded them through a small nail to hold them in place. Seems to be working pretty well. Going to be inconvenient when changing strings at a later date, but as usual, I'll burn that bridge when I get to it.

Nice! It won't be horrible changing a string down the road - - you just have to loosen them all first. Not ideal, but not horrible.
