There's something magic in the wood of these old boxes. They end up sounding wonderful acoustically. I didn't want to clutter up the label with screws or seal it with glue; I added 3/4" x 3/4" oak under the lid close to the neck and screwed into them from the back. Holds everything together nicely (careful if the lid has some curl/warping). This way, I can always get in to add electronics later. I don't seal any of my builds with glue. I didn't add electronics to it because it sounded so good on its own.
