That's one of the pretty good ways to do it. I like to sandwich the top (coat it) with hot melt glue. I think it cuts down on some unwanted sounds. My personal truth has been that disc piezo sounds vary. I do get some good ones. And I get some where bumping the neck produces more amp sound than I would like. Most piezos, you just turn down the amp gain a bit and whale away.
