  It does make the grain pop and kind of looks dipped in oil.  The result is quite good.

  Thanks Uncle John. I will try and hold onto this 1. I really like it. I used Tassie oak for the neck, and used cabot's black stain with colour reducer to wash it out. I wanted it to look like it was dipped in oil, and it really makes the grain pop. Glad you like her.

  I like it too.  Nice lines and proportions and cool neck wood.
