  This is laminate of meranti.

  When I saw the grain pattern I knew this had to be laminated together.

  It was a 1.8 metre long 42mm*19mm length cut in half to use the different shades of wood.

  Interesting wood and kinda oddly pretty.  Not the same old poplar, oak, maple.   Hope it finishes up to be a great git/

  Nature did all the work, I just sanded a little. :)
