    Beautiful wood. It looks sharp! I've been using wipe on poly varnish on tiger maple. It looks great and is easy to get even and smooth.

    well once you go oil, your kinda stuck with it, nitro won't stick right anymore. a lot of people use tru-oil which is a gunstock sealant that gets a nice gloss with repeated application

    Thanks Harrison.  Right now I just have Tung Oil on it.  Do you have any suggestions for finishing curly maple?

    Here is my first move from CBG's to a regular solid body.  It is coming together!
