  • Hi Great looking Build , lotta effort gon into it but is shows , seems i'm not the only one with tuners that rattle , i fitted the same tuners - i tried filling them with grease as you mentioned but the problem with mine is it's the Green tuner knobs that a rattling on the shaft not the gears/worm drive , have a close listen to the knobs when you play it - i would like to bet you have the same problem .
    Regards
    juju.
  • Thanks Brian. Thing is the tuners tend rattle some when they are mounted this way, at least these cheap ones. The gear play in the tuner gets to big when the strings are tensioned. Mounted the "right" way the string tension tightens the gear play. I hope the rattling can be solved with some grease in the gear.
  • i put my tuners like that on pourpose, cause that is how i like them, great headstock design you got there, real nice quality work,i like both of the guitars you have pictured they are real fine instruments.
  • Tuners mounted the wrong way (up side down). Caused by a broken drillbit left stuck in one of the pilot holes. Well, I probably learn to deal with the "reverse" tuning.
