  • Thats my bouy Bob, he is one happy dog.

I am an oil convert, it's the way forward for me.

  • THANKS. Is your dog grinning? I used to do a lot of gunstock building & always used hand rubbed oil finishes. Several kinds you can use but all are better than sprayed or brushed on stuff for wood finishes. Just a bit more work to get it right, but worth it. Tung oil works well. Painted finishes are a different story.

  • Thanks Bluesheart, the way it enhances the grain is fantastic, the future is danish.

Hey Bob glad you like it, the tail piece is a sawn off bottle opener. No selector wired the mag pots and jack in the normal way wired the piezo's to the vol pot, all works fine.

  • I like that, the bowl reminds of the back of my Tater Bug Mandolin. Is that a gaint pull tab stop piece? COOL! How do you have your piezo/mag pickup combo wired? I see no selector switch. I messed around with that combo but haven't had very good results yet. Very nice insturment you have there!
