Thanks for taking the time to comment and for the forewarnings on the knots. I’ll definitely be sure to remember that. I think these are all pine and I’m likely to use these ones for rustic bodies. I’m going to try to incorporate the knots into the build because I think they’re the best looking part of the wood and can really make all the difference when going for the rustic look? I’m excited about this build for sure. I love up cycling things that would otherwise be destroyed or go to landfill.
I found one pallet made from Black Walnut wood, and it yielded about 40 neck blanks and plenty of bridge saddles.,,.I still have a scrap or two.,.,looks like you have plenty of material.,.from experience I can tell you some of those knots are pretty hard.,.,I have had the tablesaw say"no" and spit the board back out at high velocity.,.,
