Well, it's been awhile since I could just get back to basics and BUILD something!The PadronReso is a decent-sized Padron 2000 box, reinforced sides and top with thin slats, a polished Poplar neck that only seats 2" into the box, Mortis-and-Tenon joint to a glued Top block., oak nut and bridge, plywood tailpiece and the bottom of a fancy Tea-tin cut for the resonator. Tenor Uke strings tuned B-E-b with Diatonic fretting on Oak board so I can actually practice without the neighbors thinking that i'm torturing small furry animals(sigh). Soundholes are simple "attack the sides with a rasp" style, but they do the job...

  •  Thanks! My only regret is that C.B. Gitty is no longer making that laser-cut ply tailpiece anymore-so I kept my final one for a Template. I wouldn't recommend them long term for medium or heavy steel or phosphor-bronze...but for gut, Nylgut, Silk-N-Steel or even fishing line? Perfect...
