  • Thanks Muddy! The Punch boxes are really cool looking
  • Love the colors!
  • Thanks Keith! Gary- like Keith, I pick thru the lumber looking for the clearest color and best grain pattern, I actually really like the green in poplar and use it a lot, but the light color worked better on this build
  • Good color combo on this build too. Not all popular looks green. I pick thru Lowes wood for the white.

  • The neck looks very light in color. Typically I find Poplar to have a slight greenish tint or dark streaks. I use it anyway, but I was wondering if there is anything you do to get it so light.
Yeah, it's spring, thank God. Here in the Detroit area, the winter has been brutal. I did't see a lawn in 3 months!
  • Thanks Gary! Tails are made from scraps of sheet copper that I shape into simple string holders, great for grounding strings. Finish is a couple coats of matte clear. Unc- mid 70's here in northern California, definitely springy!
  • Yup.  What Gary said.    Looking springier there than with your last photo.

  • Is the tail ready made or something you fashioned yourself? What finish did you use on the neck? Both guitars very nice.
