  i totally agree...that under the saddle rod is 10 times bettre than disc, almost no handleing noises and very little hum!...although I never put the big black mother bord on the guitars...nothing say made in china more than those eye sores.......but the guitar is sweet and the rod element is always the bomb!

  It's an under saddle rod piezo.  Instead of installing it under the saddle, I positioned it just forward of the internal bridge plate and encased it in epoxy.  It is IMO far superior to a disc.  You're far less likely to run into noise issues with these.

  very posh - what you using a peizo disc or a under saddle piezo ? - hows it sound - i was thinking of trying one of these myself
