Well, when I finished it I went open G (which I typically use for all my four string guitars) but I expect the guy I made it for may have changed that by now. Usually I like things deep and muddy so I'll tune them to somewhere around open G (I don't get too serious about it as I'm never playing with anyone else) and then I'll drop the whole thing a step or two. Really, rather than relying on a set tuning, you should just turn those spinny things up a the head until the guitar sounds good strummed open. After that just go exploring around the neck and see what you can find.
